Pro Merchant Subscription FAQ

Anyone who is a frequent seller at Amazon.com has much to gain with a Pro Merchant Subscription. The Pro Merchant Subscription helps you list more easily and at less expense. It also allows you to use the powerful Inventory Reports to view orders, sold listings, and current open listings.

If you are an existing seller with listings, no problem. Amazon makes it easy to upgrade--we will automatically apply the new fee structure to your current listings so you can quickly and easily take advantage of the transaction-fee waiver on each sale.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Pro Merchant Subscription
What does my Pro Merchant Subscription include?
  1. Discounted selling. The $0.99-per-sale portion of the closing fee is waived on every Amazon Marketplace listing you create after you become a Pro Merchant Subscriber--you pay only the remaining 6 to 15 percent commission and the variable closing fee. Note: you do not have to do anything to avoid the $0.99-per-sale portion of the closing fee on listings you have already created; once you subscribe, we will automatically move your listings to the new fee structure for you within 30 minutes.
  2. Loading tools. You'll have access to the powerful Inventory Loader for listing and managing dozens--even thousands--of listings at once.
  3. Unlimited Marketplace selling. You're welcome to maintain an unlimited number of Amazon Marketplace items in the Amazon.com stores.
How do I know how many listings I have left each month?

You may list an unlimited number of Amazon Marketplace items.

How will I be billed?

Your Pro Merchant Subscription fee of $39.99 is assessed once every month, based on your account activation date.  Your first charge will be assessed on the date you subscribe as a Pro Merchant. The subscription fee will be listed on your Payments account summary and balanced against any sales you have completed.

If your monthly sales do not cover your subscription fees at the time of billing, we will charge the fees to your credit card. If you would like to alter or update the credit card used to pay the subscription fees, you may do so at any time by clicking on "Edit your seller preferences" in your Seller Account.

How do I cancel my Pro Merchant Subscription?

You're welcome to cancel your subscription at any time. By canceling, you're ensuring that you will not be charged for the upcoming month.

You have two options when unsubscribing. With the first, you can cancel your subscription but leave your listings open and continue to sell as a non-subscriber. Normal transactional fees will apply to sales after that point.

With the second option, you can choose to cancel your subscription and close your listings. Listings will close automatically at the end of your final billing cycle (that is, whatever subscription time you've paid for). You are responsible for any sales made before that time.

To cancel your subscription, click on "Edit your seller settings" in your Seller Account. There you'll find information about your current subscription status, and a link to cancel.

Note: If you would like to close your listings immediately, at the time you cancel your subscription, please click to learn more.

Why isn't the "Sell an Item" form recognizing that I'm a subscriber?

If you've paid for a listing subscription but you're still being assessed listing fees when you sell an item, chances are you simply need to log in again. Your subscription is associated with your account--if you're logged in from another account, you won't be recognized. Simply click "Logout" button at the top of the Seller Account page and sign in with the correct account.
